Why has a number been added to my image names?
+-

All images on your site require unique names.

If you upload an image with the same name as an image previously uploaded, the system will add a number starting with “1” to the duplicate-named images.

The duplicate images should be deleted and re-uploaded with a unique name. Uploading images with a unique image name will solve the problem.

What characters are allowed in my image names?
+-

Image names must start with a letter or a number. You are allowed to use -, _, and blank spaces in your image name, but a blank space at the front of name or the end of the name is not allowed.

Image names must not contain special characters such as:

“‘/|?:*<>#&+%,{}[]~

The max number of chars allowed in an image name (not including “.jpg”) is 90 characters. If the image name is longer, it will not upload.

Please contact Redframe Support if you receive an error message when uploading a particular image.

Why won't some of my gallery images load?
+-

The most common cause of gallery images not loading is because an image file contains invalid characters. To learn about what characters are accepted for image files, please read What characters are allowed in my image names?

If your file name is valid, there may be invalid characters in your IPTC data. Open your image in a program such as Lightroom, Photoshop, or Aperture and confirm that your IPTC data doesn’t contain any garbage data.

If you need more help figuring out why your image won’t load, please contact Redframe Support.
