Apply Pricing

Note: This is step 4 of 4 in the process of setting up your online store. You’ll need to complete Step 3 – Creating Price Lists before proceeding with this step.

How to Apply Pricing to Galleries

Now that you have created your Price Lists, applying prices to your gallery is quick and easy. Simply choose the pricing you want to apply from the drop down menu next to the gallery you want to price. There are several options available for pricing galleries:

  • Get a Quote: This can be used when you do not want to publish your prices. When this option is selected, clients are offered a way to contact you via email if they are interested in a particular image or product. This is a good option for artist original works or those photographers who have a one of a kind image.
  • No pricing Portfolio: This is to be used when you do not want to sell the item. It is extremely useful for wedding and Portfolio photographers, who are showing off their work, but not selling the images directly on their website.
  • Price List: Apply a Price List that you have previously created. Price Lists can be used on as many galleries as you like. This is the option for stock, sports, and any photographer that wants to sell images directly from their website.

Your selection in the ‘Default Pricing’` list is the default option for all galleries for which an option has not be assigned in the windows below.

How to Apply Pricing to Images

Images will automatically inherit the pricing that has been set for the gallery that it is contained in. If you want the pricing for a particular image to differ from the galleries pricing, you can make the change here. The same pricing that is available for gallery pricing is also available for individual images, with the addition of “Per image pricing”.

  • Per image pricing: This allows you to set pricing that applies ONLY to this image. While it can be a valuable tool, per image pricing is more difficult to manage and prices set at this level can not be copied or used for other images. We strongly recommend using Price Lists to price your galleries and images.
